re: Any one with any reports on Big Lake?

I went Sunday afternoon. The wind blew like hell.

We caught a few rat reds and 4 trout. Nothing to write home about.

The water quality was strange on the north part of the lake, like a light greenish color. Once we moved to the south end, water quality got better and we caught a few fish.

We fished the washout, the St. John's bay, then the old Jetties. We finished up in West Cove to get out of the wind. We found one group of birds working and that's when we caught the trout.

Oh and I caught a two foot shark.

Caught the reds on live shad. Trout on plastics. I think live shrimp or big shad would be the ticket right now.
