They played back to back games in New Orleans because LSU had a glut of home games scheduled. NCAA only allowed 6 or 7 home games back then. Easiest to switch was Tulane, after all, they hadn't beaten the Tigers home or away for 24 years. What's to worry about?

I listened to the 14 - 0 debacle on my radio and cried like a baby.

OK, I see that now, 73 had 7 H games without Tu and so it was moved to N.O.; Do you remember when this decision was made, was during season? Other poster right, we had a tough loss to Gumps at home (think this was Thanksgiving nite game?)before and this was tailor made for Green Weenies to pull off the unthinkable! As said I was spared by the Lord this horror show was at home partying with friends from HS that weren't worried about!
Also, why was UF so late (Dec.)? Sorry that was 72
Thanks.
Bring on the Horned Frogs!
