I think the price is a little high, but he's proven in the past couple of years that he is a talented player and only gotten better while doing it in the premier league.

And don't forget we also paid 20m for Downing, so I don't think we're overpaying THAT much

What will the suicide level of this thread be if City lose but Liverpool fail to win? (Though I don't know if that's even possible against Newcastle)

yeah, but we over paid for Downing, too... I think £15mm is about right... But SOTON doesn't really need the money, and hes english, so they will def want a premium price.. I just hope it gets done before WC, just in case he has a good one and price tag goes up..

I'm not opposed to it, as long as we still get the other players we NEED and don't go bargain shopping for them... Lallana will give us a different option to Coutinho as the #8 in a 4-3-3, or out wide... even the #10 at the tip of the diamond... I like his versatility..
