About 11 the boomers have been kicking up offshore and get worse as day progresses. I'd be cool with a quick one, but watch the clouds around you, and make the run in if it looks like its about to kick up. It does go back to glass, but its ugly while its passing.

Yeah, the debate for me is to fly fish for reds in some duck ponds out in Point a la Hache. I know we'll have some success, it'll be a good time, and I won't have to worry about the weather as much.

Red Snapper season is over after this weekend and I haven't had the chance to go out this year. I feel confident in my boat, but honestly...it's closer to a flats boat than a traditional bay boat.
I've taken it out in some solid 2 footers in getting to Chandeleur islands...but that's still mostly protected waters.


I'm thinking, why not...if it looks bad, just fish the beach
