Even if this was real, why can't they use the cloud service like they want? Whats the DRM have to do with anything?

Ahh....Finchy, Finchy, Finchy...
Some people will never get it I guess which is why MS had no choice but to pull a 180 today.

Why can't you just tell me instead of being a smart arse? Sure, i could google it, but why do that when you can just tell me now?

Because I want you to think for yourself
Or read one of the 50 different threads where we have discussed it ad nauseam.

Without the always-online requirement, games can't be designed to fully utilize cloud computing because then people who stay offline would have a game that doesn't work. At least, that's how I understand it.
That picture is hilarious.

But lets be real, Microsoft would never have sales that could match the ones on Steam.
After doing alot of research on this DRM stuff (aka reading TD threads), it's apparent that the outcry wasn't for what MS did, it's how they did it. They came at it with some weird elitist attitude like "we know this is better in the long run, you guys wouldn't understand" instead if just making their reasoning clear at the big events.

I just don't see how anyone can state that as if it were a fact.

That explains it all really. PC wins now more than ever. I'd be pissed if I was stuck choosing between the two because I would have went with the box for the reasons they are now changing because of ignants.

I think the biggest winner in all of this is Gamestop because they get to hang around a lot longer and rape the used games market.

It's not fact, it's and educated guess?
My experience with Microsoft, even though I love my 360 and Live, is that they tend to be real sticklers when it comes to money.

Right which is even more reason for them to have sales. They would make more money in the long run with no used games market even if they did sell the games cheaper. MS and the publishers lose billions to used games. They would make up the loss and then some of selling the games cheaper through pure volume.
