Those that are buying PS4 and Xbox1

Why are you getting both? Me personally its a huge waste of money for me but I will get both as well. Being that I only play one game, NCAA Football, I need to start playing more games.

Call me old-fashioned, but this latest new makes me want to buy the One now. Along with the PS4 of course. The Xbox has exclusives I want to play, I've had the 360 before, and let's be real, the Kinect is miles above the Eye (from what I've seen). Kids + Kinect = Me time

I bought PS3 for the exclusives and it is my personal favorite system.
I bought 360 because it is the system of choice for most FPS's.. Not really my thing but I like catching up with some of my friends who play these.
Who knows how this will turn out on the new consoles but that sums up my reason for this gen.

I was PS4 only since before the great flame wars. It's about exclusives to me.

All of these are must haves to me. I can live without Halo, Fable, etc.
But if I find a good used Xbone, I will probably buy it much later after release.

I hate how people call some other people dumb for this. Some people have enough disposable income to do this and also play a lot of video games to get worth out of it.
I will get both, but will probably not get PS+ because all my multiplayer will be done on the One. If there is a game I want to play online on the PS4 I will buy it.
Me and others can afford to spend $100 a year. It isn't dumb

fricking this. I spend 100 dollars almost every weekend at a freaking bar. You can call that dumb if you like but 100 dollars is not breaking me for a hobby I enjoy.

Exclusives is why I will get both ...
Also this will more than likely be my last gaming generation, I'm 25 and probably need to grow up, so I think I will get both and enjoy my last hurrah.

I haven't pre-ordered either but it wouldn't surprise me if I eventually end up with both. Heck, I might even end up with a Wii U someday if Nintendo gets around to releasing some first party games on it.
But I don't plan on buying anything until I see released exclusive games that I want to play. Trailers and short gameplay videos (some of which might be complete scams) aren't enough to convince me to plop down $900+.
