Steelers - most consistent

Lakers - barely behind Boston in Championships but win in everything else...stars...aura...glamor...fame...consistency.

Lakers have been to 31 NBA Finals and won 16
Celtics have been to 21 NBA Finals and won 17

I take the Celtics over the Lakers based on winning so many in the row with Bill Russell, Cousy etc. Lakers not a bad choice.

Steelers over the Packers close. Cowboys just can't stand them.

Yankees miles ahead of the St. Louis Cardinals in terms of WSins.

I do.

NFL was completely different pre-merger. Sometimes round-robin 11 team league where the there was one post-season game.

I'm counting the SB era. Just like I don't go back and argue over 1890-1940 CFB "Championships."

NFL- if we're just going Super Bowl era, Pittsburgh. If pre-SB, I think many teams could be argued (Cowboys, Giants, Redskins, Bears), but I vote Green Bay.
MLB- Not really a contest. Picking the third-best franchise is a much more interesting debate (assuming St. Louis is the consensus #2)
NBA- Lakers
NHL- Also pretty obvious. #2 could be a good debate though

Football is the only sport that its even a debate. Cant argue with Canadians, Lakers, Yankees.

Cowboys/Packers/Steelers all have an arguement.
