Fished out of a 25' before and really didnt like it, the dam T-top took up most of the deck area and you couldn't cast.
How the hell can you not cast around a T-top in that boat? The front deck on the 25 is massive. I have a T-top on my 23 and fish 4 guys comfortably all the time.

That's a really good question. I could see if it were a Bimini top getting in the way, but not a t-top on a 25 footer.

they drilled holes in the cracks to stop em,

I've never heard of drill stopping a crack in fiberglass!!

Seen it done many times in Steel though.

Thanks for the info guys

Yea i hadnt heard either. Works in steel so i figured maybe it worked in glass. Problem with glass though and this concept is glass is already so stringy. Seems the crack could easily propagate. Either way, he found drill holes not patched when his boat filled with water

Really nice fit and finish. I can tell you they are not overly wet. Sometimes you are just going to be wet no matter what boat youre in but other than that its fine.

Go check one out seriously, its huge! You can cast off the front deck, which is huge, but you can forget casting on sides and out of back easily. I just don't like T-tops on bay boats, like to be able to rare back and cast as well as not have to fight it like a sail when trying to troll banks.

I agree with all of what you said. They don't provide any decent shade and definitely get in the way of fishing. I would never put one on a bay boat, but to each his own.

Salesmen are apparently pushing the shite out of them and new buyers are eating the shite up, because you hardly see any new bay boats without them anymore.

I fish Lake P a bunch and often go under low bridges and shite. I couldn't have a t-top because of this reason but when my kids and wife go out with me I needed some sort of shade for them to get under. I refused to have a Bimini top.

Found this little gem one day.

Bimini Tee.
I can detach it by unscrewing two thumb screws and pulling two pins. Can leave it off with the mounting hardware still attached to the console.
Best thing ever.

Friend of mine bought a Pathfinder with a tee top and just brought it to someone that cut it and redesigned it so it's removable. The only time we use it is to bring women and kids crabbing

Bimini's are the worst thing ever.

T-tops aren't too bad. Well ours isn't. It hinges down, so it stays out the way.

FWIW I really like my t-top. I will gladly give up one fishing spot so I can go sit my arse in the shade when I damn well please. But, like was said earlier, to each his own.
