I don't see it. GMs and Coaches rarely ever look that far down the line. Most of the time, They don't last that long. Teams generally look 3-5 years down the line. And Dragic even at 27 should have at least 7 more years of high level play barring serious injury. You also have to remember that they have Kendall Marshall who is still developing his game and should have a shot at taking over once Dragic contract is up.

Its a brand new gm and coach- if ownership isnt going to give them time to fix the mess they have, then whats the point? Plus Dragic is a FA in 3 years- all of which will be spent as a lottery team.

That very, very optimistic. A mid 30s guard is not a good bet.

Its silly not to even explore moving a valued asset that will likely not be much help when the team is worth talking about seriously. Hes a nice player, but he isnt untouchable. Especially when he is on a good contract with 3 years left.

If they can get a 1st, a young player, or just move Beasley, I'd think long and hard on it. They will be awful for the next 3 years.
