Why did the NCAA move to BBCOR bats?

I was just curious as to why the NCAA made the move to these bats? Was it because of injury? TIA

Batting companies like Easton and tpx said it needed mo $.

So Bbcor was created. Everyone including High schools, little league, etc. converted too. Go figure batting companies

the bats are bullshite. LSU should have had 4 HR's last night. These pussy bats let teams like UCLA win. It's an epic joke and needs to be fixed. UCLA should not have even been in that game last night.
