Ate at GW Fins in the Quarter this weekend. Incredible. Restaurant specializes in fish and has a different menu everyday depending on what they get in. I got the snapper over lobster and shrimp etouffee, one of the best fish dishes I have ever had. If you haven't been I highly recommend it. It has a great atmosphere and Service was excellent. Its across the street from Arnauds. Its pricy but it is worth every penny.

Figured I would give it a shout out because it is hardly mentioned as a New Orleans staple and it
should be.

Love me some GW Fins. Wish I got to go more often.

GW is good. It doesn't fit my "seafood budget" or taste.

Some places have a menu that I could look at for hours and struggle making a decision because it all looks good.

GW is the opposite, I look at the menu and I can't decide because nothing is compelling to me.

Never had a bad meal but just doesn't do it for me.

Best seafood in the city. Had a scalibut dish (thin sliced scallops on top of halibut and cooked together). Probably the best fish I have ever eaten.

Any of you seafood Mavens try Peche yet? I'm not trying to argue best seafood in city, but I prefer Peche to GW by a large margin(value included). I've been to Peche 3x already but GW only 2x.

Wow. Luckily for you, you can choose just about anything it will be excellent. GW FINNS is always on my list of where to eat in the FQ.

Then you can take a short stroll to some very lively entertainment.

I don't want fish for $30. If I am going to spend that kind of money on a meal I'm not eating fish. That's part of the reason I love Peche, good amount of raw options and small plates that meet my seafood criteria.
