I often wonder if these guys feel like tools for playing on a goal so fricking short in comparisn to their height? It's similar to me getting a game up with some friends, putting the rim at '8, then talking shite for dunking all of the time.

You are 2 feet shorter than the average NBA player?

think about it like this

The average NBA player is 6'8, the average male is 5'10. So that's 10 inches, plus if their wingspan is their body height, that's 5 inches per hand, so 15 inches higher of reach upwards (at least). And I would bet the average NBA players vertical is at least 9 inches higher than the average person.

So there is 24 inches of a vertical advantage at least

quote:

1. NBA: Declare That Any Defensive Contact Made Without An Effort To Contest A Shot Is A Foul

Completely agree. Not sure why people are so against this one. Seeing someone going for the goal and then sliding in front of them is not a fvcking basketball move. It's taking advantage of a rule. Get rid of the rule, get rid of the majority of ridiculous charges.

quote:

2. MLB: Universalize The Designated Hitter

Yea, I don't even watch baseball but can't believe there are some teams that have a different position than others.

quote:

3. NFL: Make Pass Interference A 15-Yard Penalty

Absolutely. Lol at some of you thinking you'll never see another deep pass. Do some of you watch college ball? Someone said it best where it needs to be like the old facemask penalty, 15 yards if incidental and spot if the dude just bends the receiver over. Automatic spot foul for 50-50 judgement calls from the ref is horse shite.

quote:

4. NHL: Implement “Hybrid Icing”

Idk what that means

quote:

5. NCAA Football: Create An Eight-Team Playoff Format

Duh

quote:

6. NBA: No More Advancing The Ball To Half-Court After A Timeout

If I'm trying to make the rules more fair, duh. If I want to maintain excitement, no way. I wouldn't care if they kept it or changed it, can see either side.

quote:

7. MLB: Allow Managers To Challenge Plays

Duh

quote:

8. NFL: Always Give The Home Team The Ball First In Overtime

No, why?

quote:

9. NHL: Eliminate Delay Of Game On Pucks Sent Out Of The Defensive Zone

Idk what this means

quote:

10. NBA: Eliminate Foul-Outs

Duh. Why are so many against this? Like some mentioned, after a certain number you could make it like a technical where you got 2 shots and the ball. Also, there would still be legit techs if someone was being a good and I'd still have players be ejectable if they get 2 techs. Fouling a player out is moronic.

I get height and reach but you really want to count vertical leap?

Ok ok, still though, I'm 6' flat with average length arms and normal hands. A guy like Lebron has at least a foot of reach on me, and it's probably closer to 18 inches than a foot, not to mention his hands are probably close to twice the size of mine. So it's like me dunking on ~8 1/2 foot goal using one of those souvenir balls that are like 18" circumference
