Supposedly Boston wants Bledsoe in this deal. If this happens, is Rondo for #6 possible?

Maybe throw in one out of GV, Smith,or Lopez to sweeten the deal?

I did go to AJ for two years, if that helps my case at all.

How about Ryan Anderson for Rondo and No. 16? Works for both teams.

That's trade rape.. I'd do that all day long. Rondo is a top 5 PG, no way Boston does that, maybe if we swap picks and send them Anderson..

Yeah, you have to take Rondo & 16 for GV & 6.

Where does Bledsoe come into play in all that? I don't see what the Clips are getting out of it to make them want to give up Bledsoe.

The Celtics are giving Garnett and Doc Rivers (not technically part of the trade) to the Clippers.

GV, Lopez and next years unprotected 1st for Rondo and #16. That deal saves Boston about 6mil next year. Plus the contracts gives them options. The Pels benefit is obvious.

There's virtually no realistic deal where I would give an unprotected pick in next year's draft.

I would, but certainly not for a player that may very well be out until the All Star break. When you're trading two key contributors for one player that will be out of commission, it would be a terrible decision to include an unprotected pick in a loaded draft when you're not going to reap the benefits of the trade until late in the season. That's especially true when your team probably won't win more than 35 games (which would be the case for us if Rivers starts at PG for 3 months).

How does the board feel about the threat of Dwight and CP3 teaming up in LA? I definitely didn't want to see it happen in Houston, but if they don't get a young star to join them I feel their window of contention would be closing as ours is opening so I'm not that concerned.

I fricking despise the clippers so anything positive that happens to them deeply saddens me. although this trade would get rid of the main reason I dislike the clippers so i'm conflicted

eta: if they team up Atlanta would be my preference. keep that noise in the east

I wouldn't want to trade next years unprotected first. The #6 this year? Yes. Next years pick? No!

I would. People are so excited about the hyped up draft next year there has to be someone over valuing it. And at some point you gotta start adding some vets. Though I don't like the deal mentioned here

I think they'd be a good team wherever they joined up, but I would have a hard time seeing them putting a complete enough team to be a real contender. There's only so many good role players in the league. The Heat, with the best player in the world along with some decent role players, are having a hard time against a more complete Spurs team, and had a hard time against a pretty complete Pacers team last round.
