Any Chinese food lovers that have not been...must check it out.

I work with many Chinese...most go there multiple times per month, claiming its the most authentic (only authentic) place in Baton Rouge.

Meals are served 'family style,' so a group of 2, 4, etc can get a variety of different apps, entrees, etc.

Wife and I ate like kings, bill was less than $50 (with dessert), and we have a ton of leftovers.

Fried shrimp balls are amazing, as well as the beef with broccoli over wide noodles. Fried rice has a ton of meat. Potstickers were packed with filling, and the spring rolls were tasty. Everything was HOT. Almost too hot...we had to sit and wait for it to cool down.

Service is great as well.

I like it. Quality food at incredibly cheap prices.

I've heard Dim Sum is better at other places, but I've got no complaints about their product.

This might be true, but I don't have the experience. The only other Dim Sum I have had was in Chinatown in NYC. That was very good, as well.

Very solid food. I'm glad you're getting the word out, as they are always slow when I go. I imagine most people have no idea it is there.

If you haven't tried it, order the fried taro root next time, as well as the sweet/sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves. Two best items on the menu.

Everything was top notch. My only (slight) complaint was the fried ice cream for dessert. The outside crust was very good...but the dessert was mostly crust. Needed more ice cream.

Yep.

Both of those sound good. I like how their menu has pictures of most everything. That really helps me.

I'll have to try it next time I'm in town. Was it more Cantonese style food?

I believe so. But only because that's what my wife said.

Yea Dim Sum is really good although one of my friends tells me the kitchen is a little on the dirty side. Actually way on the dirty side.

For good Chinese, also check out Omi on Essen by the interstate. Its advertised as a sushi place but just ask for the Chinese menu. Better than dim sum imo.

I came to say this. It's so authentic they've got chicken feet on the menu.

It's good too.

Still...

Chicken.
Feet.

We've been going to this place for 10 years. Glad it's getting more attention now.

Their food has been consistently good lately. Dim sum is actually a brunch type of meal in china. I've had dim sum many places and the one in Baton Rouge is as good as any I've had.

Here's a tip I tell everyone: ask for the sweet soy sauce. Mix it with the hot pepper oil. Enjoy dipping dumplings, etc.

I love their ckn feet. Get one every time just for myself and more than one is others are partaking.

It is one of our group's favorites. We go every year for my husband's birthday. It is a tradition now.

Jones- Omi is better than when it was wasabi?

My favorite spot for Chinese. One of the only chinese places I've been where ethnic Asians outnumbered everyone else. The tangerine beef is a favorite. Get the dim sum menu, but don't overlook the regular menu, as well.

Yikes...I'd have to draw the line on that one. I'd try a bite but I can't imagine eating a plate of that and feeling mentally ok
