I have a microfiber towel that came in 3 pack I bought for cleaning cars, didnt like them for the cars, so they became sweat rags. Started sticking on in the ice chest on the boat, pull it out a couple times a day and wipe my head/ face.
Can't see spending money on a cooling towel when that works fine.

They help, but they help less as the hunidity increases.

That doesn't help residents of the tropics like all us swamp monsters.

While participating in a 100+ mile kayak race, I don't want to add the weight of an ice chest and ice.

Cooling towels are supposed to cool by simply wetting them and they are reusable so not that expensive over several uses.
