Their music is "Queen-esque," but Ruess isn't worthy of having Freddie Mercury shite in his presence. And Fun. has yet to put out a song that comes anywhere close to Queen's best work.

Nobody is arguing that Ruess can sing like Freddie Mercury.

On the last part, I'll have to disagree with you, and I like Queen quite a bit. But I think the song "some nights" is an A+ song, and without the benefit of the curve. You're free to disagree -- this sort of thing is subjective -- but I think "some nights" is a hall of fame song. One of those songs that when I first heard, I had to hear again, and again, and again.

I like Some Nights a good deal, but I still wouldn't group it with songs like Somebody to Love, Bohemian Rhapsody, Who Wants to Live Forever, etc.

I'm a big fan of this song and I think Some Nights and it are similar in that they both have "big" sounds. Like the songs just sound huge. I don't know how else to articulate that.

Speaking of that song, I have to give props to George Michael, who just absolutely nailed it during the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert. It isn't easy singing Freddie Mercury songs and having them sound okay, but he pulled it off.

I really did like this song...... The first few hundred times I heard it, and it was called Cecilia, performed by Simon and Garfunkel.

First of all they have some pretty damn good songs.

Second, they are actually what is good about pop music today. They play instruments, they write songs, they are musicians man. They aren't 5 guys singing songs someone else wrote, they aren't some teeny bopper on stage, they aren't a gimmick.

If you don't like their songs, that's fine. But you need to recognize that they are part of a movement in pop to return to musicians instead of American Idol winners. Even if you don't like them, you should appreciate that.

Kids might see them and think, "Oh man, I want to play guitar!" This is better than, "Oh man, I want to learn to do a backflip on stage like Usher" or "Oh I want to dress like Justin Bieber"

They are good for the pop music industry in my eyes. I want musicians playing instruments, they do that.

Do you know how many popular songs are similar to others in the past? Most artists are influenced by those before them. Simon and Garfunkel probably wrote songs similar to those they grew up listening to.

Led Zeppelin become one of the best bands in the world by "jacking" songs.

Jesus titty-fricking Christ. You must also think the Gaye family has a strong case against Robin Thicke.

We've heard both songs. We listened to them both while having unprotected sex with your mother and whispering sweet lullabies into her ear about how it's a damn shame her son has no idea what the term "ripped off" means.

Don't know about that. Don't care. Not saying anyone has a "case" against anyone else.

The only case that's obvious here is your case of the shite for brains.

Simply pointing out how similar the songs are which is obvious.

I noticed it the first time I heard the song.
