Which OOS prospect do you want most in 2014?

And it has to be a guy that we actually have a legit chance of signing and isnt already committed...
Im sure a lot of yall will say Adoree Jackson or Tony Brown. Which is understandable. Both guys are studs.
But for me, I want Clifton Garrett. And we have a great chance of signing him. Chavis D thrives on a solid ILB, and Garrett would be 1 of the most talented LBs weve had for Chavis to coach. I mean look at what he did with guys like Kelvin Sheppard and Lamin Barrow. Both guys were good and all, but werent as naturally gifted as Garrett is out of high school. Minter was a bigger recruit than Barrow and Sheppard, but still wasnt a big time recruit. And all 3 of those guys became big time players for us. Chavis specializes in LBs, and I think getting Garrett would give him 1 of the more talented LBs weve had since hes been here. Also sounds like he is more athletic and can run and cover better than originally thought. Everyone knows how physical he is and how good of a tackler is, but from what Ive read he surprised a lot of people at the Rivals100 camp this past weekend with his lateral movements and coverage skills.

Liked both Clifton Garrett and jabrill peppers. Clifton still in play but peppers committed to Michigan but I guess there is always a chance until the papers are faxed. Those two guys just wowed me with their highlight tape, men amongst boys.

And yes, hes a G A M. Handles himself very well during interviews too.

Hard to choose anyone but Garrett given our frequent lack of top-tier LB play, but Brown has the athleticism and skills to be another pp7 or Claiborne and I love the dbu identity. Brown.

Tony Brown seems like a future first round pick to me, so I'll go with him.

Dude is a beast...a definite want in this class...has the potential to be a monster at LSU!!!

1A: Tony Brown
1B: Clifton Garrett
Getting both, which I think happens, is going to be beautiful.

Agreed. Except I would have Garrett 1a and Brown 1b simply because I don't ever remember having a dominant freak of a monster like CG at Lb before but like you said it's possible that we get both and I hope that's the case!!

Garrett because we need a beast MLB. We get high profile CBs every year.
We already have a 5* CB committed for the '15 class. Both will be sweet, though

Tony Brown. Bigger area of need than Garrett plus IMHO he's not that much better than Kenny Young

Garrett is the thumper at LB we need

Kenny Young is a heck of a player. But, i think hes an OLB. And in regards to a bigger need, I think MLB is just as big as CB. We still have multiple scholarship CBs on the team that were freshman last year and looked good in spring. Dwayne Thomas, Holmes, not to mention Tre White, Robinson, etc. At ILB we have Barrow who is a senior, then gets weak. Welter, who will most likely never be a starter, and Feist. But, nobody is sure what Feist will play considering he practiced all spring at DE. I agree that CB is important, but we reallly are very thin at MLB.

I love me some homegrown LA talent too, but let's not get carried away. Garrett is head and shoulders above every LB in this class and that's not exaggerating.
Edited for spelling.

After watching Morris and Patrick lock down the secondary along with Reed and HB7, I know the value of a good DB. I want to see that Brown kid from Houston commit because a kid like that can make life easier for the guys up front. In fact, he can add an extra safety to the box that would have been used to back his guy up just like PP7 used to allow the Chief to do when he would lock down the other team's best receiver.
DBU Baby. A close second would have to be any of those top ranked D linemen from the east coast.
