no one should feel sorry or make excuses for him. the media constantly comparing him to Jordan is played out and annoying. LeBron needs a good 15 years under his belt before he can legitimately be compared to others or be considered the "best ever".

you're talking about completely different generations and different mindsets. as a matter of fact, LeBron actually represents his generation and the generations coming up about as perfect as possible. taking the easy road is not always the best choice. he should never be considered the best ever until he carries a team the right way. not a store bought team. oh and if the Heat lose, it will not help considering that will make 3 out of 4 times in the finals that LeBron has shite the bed.

If this team is store bought and better than everyone else, why are they losing?

In

west Philadelphia born and raised
On the playground was where I spent most of my days
Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool
And all shootin some b-ball outside of the school
When a couple of guys who were up to no good
Started making trouble in my neighborhood
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
She said 'You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air'

I begged and pleaded with her day after day
But she packed my suit case and sent me on my way
She gave me a kiss and then she gave me my ticket.
I put my Walkman on and said, 'I might as well kick it'.

First class, yo this is bad
Drinking orange juice out of a champagne glass.
Is this what the people of Bel-Air living like?
Hmmmmm this might be alright.

But wait I hear they're prissy, bourgeois, all that
Is this the type of place that they just send this cool cat?
I don't think so
I'll see when I get there
I hope they're prepared for the prince of Bel-Air

Well, the plane landed and when I came out
There was a dude who looked like a cop standing there with my name out
I ain't trying to get arrested yet
I just got here
I sprang with the quickness like lightning, disappeared

I whistled for a cab and when it came near
The license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror
If anything I could say that this cab was rare
But I thought 'Nah, forget it' - 'Yo, homes to Bel Air'

I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8
And I yelled to the cabbie 'Yo homes smell ya later'
I looked at my kingdom
I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air

I don't care if LBJ wins this title and the next 5. He will never surpass MJ. Jordan never played like shite on the biggest stage. LeBron has now done it MULTIPLE times

I mean you can't have it both ways: either he cherry picked incredible teammates and they walk thru the finals and you discount them or they are just a relatively good team in a dog fight and then you give him full credit if they win...

don't worry. Stern will make sure this series last at least 6 or 7 games. you'll see a Miami free throw parade Thursday night.

however to answer your question, the Spurs are the better team. the Heat are certainly one of the best teams in the NBA simply because of LeBron, but they are only as dangerous as they are because of the NBA's agenda with pushing them to the top. when it comes down to just BASKETBALL, the Heat are not the best.

So how do you arrive at the premise of your thread that he took the easy way?

those under the age of 25 likely won't understand.

there is absolutely NOTHING respectable about being apart of a "super team". nothing whatsoever. however the flip side of that is positive because you will be adored by millions of bandwagon/low basketball IQ fans, praised and worshiped in the media, and given favorable treatment by the league (turning the other cheek when suspensions should be handed out, favorable calls in most cases, etc.) simply because you sell a lot of jerseys in China for them.

the league will make sure that this series goes 6 or 7 games. there is too much money on the table for them not to step in and at least guarantee more games.
