re: Negotiating pay. Got a offer but it's kind of low

I would counter and if they hold firm and it sounds like you are going to lose the offer accept it and go this route if Houston is really where you want to be.

45 hours a week. 5 will be overtime, correct?

It's hourly and I guess with overtime it still equals 37500 annually. I talked to them today and they said they would help with a little more of living expenses. I'm thinking its the training I need and I will just struggle for 6 months in Dallas.

That's all the right attitude, but I've learned that if you're not getting what you are worth at the start, the growth rate is rarely worth it and you're always catching up. However, sales is one of those fields where it can be worth it.

Yes to get out of my current position. I'm going to take it and then buy a couple weeks. But still have a job if nothing else happens.

The salary after is not too bad with quarterly bonuses. I just have to see it all on paper.
