i get what you're saying, but i have been to many courts (in LA only, mind you), and this is pretty common

I would imagine Broward and especially Dade county is very similar to Orleans parish criminal courts.

yeah i've seen some judges treat defendants like straight dogs. and mind you these were misdemeanor cases.
