QB- B+

Mettenberger was a little above average last year, but most ranters make him out to be worse than he was. He has all the talent in the world, and if he could put it all together under Cam he could be a top 5 QB. I think Rivers will be the guy if Mettenberger gets hurt; however, Jennings may or may not have his own little package ala: Blake Bell(OU), Tebow.

RB- A

RB is always one of the strongest spots on Les Miles football teams. Only thing keeping it from being an A+ is Hill may be suspended, Blue is still unproven and coming back from an injury, Hilliard didn't look all that last year, and Magee only has a handful of carries.

WR- A+

We have so much talent coming back, and they are a dynamic group. If we can cure the dropitis, a big part of Metts issue, and get the ball in their hands it will be exciting. The addition of Q. Leslie is a big one, he brings us the physicality and ability to win jump balls to the team.

WR1
Beckham
Peterson

Landry
Boone

WR2
Leslie
Dural
Wright

TE-B

We have a solid group coming back, but very little experience. I think Stokes and Smith's ability at getting up the seams, along with Dickson's versatility, and Gordon's size could make a nice rotation.

Depth Chart
Dickson
Gordon
Stokes
Smith

OT-B-

We lack experience here, and it seems to be the reason we moved Collins back to LT. The only person who has had significant playing time at Tackle is Alexander.

Depth Cart
LT
Collins
Hawkins

RT
Alexander

Austin

OG-A-
This is the strongest and deepest part of our O-Line. We brought in a bunch of new guys this year, and they are massive. Having Turner and Williford back is a huge boost. Also Fehoko Fanikia may jump one of these guys in the summer.

Depth Chart
LG
Williford
Hoko

RG
Turner
Boutte

C-C

Elliot Porter played a couple of downs, and looked ok. We had a lot of botched snaps when he was in the game, and that is a little bit worrisome. Porter is also the only one with any experience at the position.

Depth Chart
Porter
Pocic

nice breakdown, I'd give out OTs a little more credit. Alexander is young and Collins is a beast, he'll show everyone now that he''s on the outside.

TE I'm not at all worried about with cam running the show, he'll maximize the talent at that spot and then some........

C is a little disconcerting but the problems only really happen at that spot when someone is forced into duty there. With porter having a whole off season at C I feel good about him solidifying that spot. Pocic is a flat out stud, he'll learn how to snap a ball and be great in spot duty. I'd be surprised if he stayed at C and didn't get moved to OT.

Unfortunately, the latest intelligence indicates there is an appreciable risk that Hill will not be with the team this fall. At least, that is the chatter on some of the insider forums. Apparently, Hill's violation of his probation creates certain insurmountable obstacles for the LSU administration. I hope the reports turn out to be erroneous.

Why does that always happen when we get a beast at the RB position

I think he will too, but this is Collins Junior year and he is just starting to play tackle

Not sure. If I ruminate too long on the situation, I want to smash a skull. Hill is a difference maker. It would be ridiculous to lose our most impactful player two years running because of offseason disciplinary issues. But it hasn't actually happened yet. Maybe an accomodation can be made.

If Hill doesn't come back, I'd definitely think Jeryl Brazil will get a chance, particularly with the uncertainty of Blue's knee, Hilliard's durability and Magee's inexperience. And maybe Copeland plays a bigger role now (he did against Alabama...)

Peterson will not see any play time this year. I'd bet money he will red shirt. Too young with too much talent ahead of him. He is not 2nd string this year.

Hawkins will be first off the bench at either tackle spot. Still think williford will move to center if porter is hurt. Cant discount kj malone coming in. He has perfect size fir center and i expect him to be strictky trained there.

I dont thi.k people give blue enough credit, if he doesnt go down, he would have stayed #1 imo and prob eclipses 1k yds.

I think we should put a grade on the play calling on offense as well. That seems to have been a big piece of the puzzle missing. What say you?

That was the word on Malone when he signed. He will be a center.

As for the OP, Hoko is a RG.
