Taking Bennett + Trading Anderson for a SF

Anybody else like this plan of action?
Gives us two really versatile and athletic 4s capable of playing spot duty at multiple positions, giving us much needed depth at SF that Anderson never really gave us
Gives us offense we desperately need, and not just a guy standing on the 3 point line, but a guy that make create his own shot all over the court
Trade Anderson for a Parsons, Corey Brewer type and we kill the problem at SF while still maintaining solid depth at PF, and address getting another solid guard in FA

So, who, specifically, are you trading Anderson for?

I dunno, I haven't gotten that far yet

I think Bennett will be a stud in the NBA, I just don't see how he fits this team.

No.

I think the only realistic trade of Anderson I've seen and felt was good value is Parsons/Asik/TRob/White for Anderson. And that's only semi realistic because it requires Houston signing Dwight and needing Anderson to convince him to come.

Anderson has proven to be a great compliment to Dwight. Howard can't really play alongside Asik and $8m is pricey for a backup center. Houston is openly trying to dump TRob (and apparently not getting takers) and would certainly LOVE to dump White.

Realistic? Lol that combo of players could land any one player in the league who is on the block.

Remember how they were prepared to overpay for Pau Gasol in the nixed CP3 to Lakers deal? They were going to overpay because getting Pau would have also gotten them Nene as a free agent. This would be the same situation, they'd overpay for Anderson because that's what gets them Dwight. Dwight may be completely happy playing with Parsons and whoever else they can flip Asik and TRob for, but you asked for trades that get a SF back for Anderson and I'm trying to tell you the options for good trades are limited and iffy.

I dunno, you may be right. I just really don't see them trading 3 starters for 1 guy. Not to mention Parsons has probably the best contract in the NBA right now.
And frankly Anderson was not playing very well the last month or so of the season, and is kind of a one dimensional player.
Anderson tends to be pretty overrated by most on this board. Yea he's solid, but you seem to think Houston would trade their entire team for a guy that was coming off the bench for one of the worst teams in the league.

I like Bennett, but it depends on the quality of sf Anderson could bring. Don't know how high Anderson's value is currently, but I would think it is as high as it will ever be and wouldn't be a bad idea to sell high.
Also I'm not even sure if Bennett will be available at pick 6.

Two starters, Parsons and Asik.
The other part is eating roughly $5m in contracts for someone who can't get time in Houston and someone who will likely never play in the NBA.

I wouldn't mind trading Anderson, but only after they move Gordon. A trade like this (LINK would work for sure. After that, we can draft Zeller and sign two decent FAs (Tony Allen and D. Wright). This is a team I can pull for..
Vasquez/Rivers/Roberts
Allen/Thornton
Granger/Wright/Miller
Davis/Smith
Zeller/Lopez

I agree, but Wilson Chandler for Ryan Anderson seems to underrate him quite a bit. He's an elite 3 point shooter that did a pretty good job this year going from role player to primary scorer. As far as his slump goes, teams learned that you could stop Anderson by putting a SF on him which was made possible by Aminu sucking on offense. Replace Aminu with a SF that can keep a defense honest and he'll be more consistent.

No. I think there's a chance that Dwight values Ryan Anderson more than Chandler Parsons, a center that gets paid too much to be his backup, and 2 tweener PFs Houston would like to dump to free up the cap space needed to sign Dwight.

You never fail to entertain. The only player with value in that trade is Parsons.

You could argue that Asik has value.
Robinson and White, not so much.

Top 3 rebounder in the league clearly has no value. Houston was in the top 25% defensively with Asik on the court. Again, clearly he has no value.
