Anyone have one? Worth the price. Looking for something to fry outdoors for bigger events.

I wouldn't spend the money on a unitasker.

I'd buy a large cast iron pot and burner that can be used for frying, jambalaya, gumbo, pastalaya, etc.

Yeah, not what I have in mind. Appreciate it though. I am looking for something when frying for 300-1000 people.

I have a 5 gallon, 2 basket rig. I don't know what your model looks like, but these things are beasts when it comes to belting out fried food fast. You better be interested in cooking large volumes.

Ahh, yeah. That certainly changes things.

Yeah, just wanted some feedback from someone who has used them.

Have the four gallon, love it, mine was the first generation and things I hope they have improved on is having a bigger drain, mine has a 1 inch line/valve and a 2 or 3" would be better to get all the crunchies out, also wish it had better bigger wheels to make it easier going over rough terrain, the ones on mine are fine for concrete but a bitch on grass ( usually have to go on grass to clean out)

But for the intended purpose they are great, they will regain temp in no time, even after dropping two baskets of frozen fries

Wow is all I can say. I bought the 8.5 gallon fryer. On Saturday, fried 12 gallons of fish and 110 lbs of shrimp and it never missed a beat. I feel like I could fry twice that amount before I would have to change the grease.
