Brandon Harris v Anthony Jennings

Lots of similarities:
Jennings was 4 star rated no. 6 dual threat QB. Harris No. 5.
Jennings: 6' 2", 205
Harris: 6', 2", 190
Both run the 40 in 4.5.
Jennings committed almost a year ago to the day, 6/7/12. Jennings showed a level head, maturity and great work ethic ever since.
I get an uncomfortable feeling that Harris is more committed to drama and the attention of the recruiting process. Just a gut feel...

I still take Jennings all day every day.
I'm sure some will say Harris, but Harris is just the flavor of the recruiting cycle.

No doubt...I would take Jennings all day to.

Jennings could be special and seems solid as a rock.
Everything I hear emphasizes his commitment to work and to become a student of the game. That's what it takes at QB.

I don't really get the that Harris is a drama queen or anything. But I also don't expect him to come to LSU and take the starting job away from Jennings. He'll have to sit in line behind Jennings and Rettig if he comes here, but I'd still like to see him here, if only so that Jordan Jefferson will no longer be the most recent LSU QB from the state of Louisiana.

Jennings and it isn't even close. No offense to Harris but Jennings shows the intangibles so far.

I've seen Harris multiple times and I'll take Jennings.
But, having multiple strong arm qb's that can move is nice.

How can you compare Harris to AJ10, the 4 time winning Heisman true freshman

Yeah...
Part of the problem here is that both of these guys are enjoying Flavor of the Week treatment by Rantards.
However, if someone here really knows Harris' work ethic and character (not simply that he wrote a thank you letter or is nice to their kids, which while nice, isn't dispositive), it would be good to hear about it.
The stuff about not camping without a commitment came off badly to some (me, for example), but maybe that 's an aberration, too.

Harris has a great work ethic. When he first got to Parkway, he had no feet, no rhythm, and no pocket presence. Kid was up at the field for hours working at it. He also wasn't very fast and worked on that to gain speed.
He ended this past season 20-30 lbs lighter than he is now.
He's also an incredibly nice kid and a great student. Shows all the signs of what a leader should be. Would help us out a lot.

Can't we choose both?

I don't see the need in comparing these two

Should have been the first reply and end of the thread.

Jennings will win Championships here and be a 2 yr starter (leaves early), or a 3 year starter(finish as a senior).
Harris (if he comes), will fight with Rettig for the starting spot or we land a 5 star stud within the next 2 years while Rettig and/or Harris transfer.

SOMEBODY will badly need training reps / PT next year.
That could easily be Jennings.
