Wow. I had never heard of that incident. That is really messed up. The pitcher is lucky he only got out of it for 400k.

In all serious though, Ben Christensen is a douche and isn't liked or well received at all around here. I highly doubt that guy received a standing ovation at that banquet. If he did, it was because he wasn't in prison, not because he almost killed a person. Regardless, it was a shitty situation all around.

With time comes perspective. I don't doubt that that close to the incident he was still applauded. But I also don't doubt that the people that did so feel bad about it now and would rather have not done it.

Yep he decided to talk the money..i think he makes around 300k a year. The pitching coach Kemnitz is staying on but isnt taking the head job. He was the one that bailed on WSU in 05 with Gene to Norman only to come back.
