What Age did you first let your child go to basketball camp?

I was probably 7 or 8

3.5 months

I was 3rd grade but some now go as young as first grade

i was 6

but make sure it's a well ran camp and that certain ages will be together. I remember when I was 12-13 and having some 9 yr olds in our group, they had no chance and I really felt sorry for them. I'm all for a young kid playing a little over his head to get tougher, but you don't wanna see your kid thrown to the wolves either....this happens more than you think.
