I used to like Will Smith but ever since he has become the talent agent for his kids I just can't seem to stomach him or his kids. It is a prejudice I can't explain. I'm sure he is not the first actor to just create a vehicle for his kids to jump right into showbiz. However, I don't think is little darlings are very talented and perhaps it seems studios just appease the Fresh Prince so he'll keep appearing in films.

Maybe if everyone would boycott Afterbirth, I mean Afterearth it will just stop

I completely agree with OP. What has this kid done or shown to get a movie like this? You really feel like hes being shoved down your throat. At these other child stars are stars for a reason.

shoved down your throat?

his kid was in Karate Kid, what else? And how long ago was that, like 3 years?

His daughter had some kind of hair back and forth song that I might have heard twice.

I don't see how this is shoving anything anywhere.

I had this exact conversation with a friend several weeks back.

The Pursuit of Happiness and The Day the Earth Stood Still, plus tons of other bullshite music singles and videos.

Y'all act as if he's the first parent actor in history to get his kids roles in movies.

disclaimer: I don't like the kid either

As a father whos been a successful actor, you wouldn't want your kids to follow in your footsteps?

I don't see the big deal. Some people bitch just to bitch.

it just feels a little awkward and forced , he's gonna wear out his welcome with the audience.

If that is what his kids want to do, then why not use his pull to help his children succeed?

His son was fine in Karate Kid and Pursuit of Happyness.

If my kid one day wants to join a business and I have the ability to help him, I'm absolutely going to help him or her do that. Especially if it's a business that I've had major success with, as Will Smith has with entertainment.

Honestly, I wouldn't let my kid become a child actor if I were an A-lister. I'd rather him get educated, and many of these child actors have had some of the worst educations imaginable. Plus I wouldn't want the paparazzi following them around. Once he/she's at least got a GED (and if he/she wouldn't take no for an answer over a college education), then I'd help them. They'd probably then thank me for trying to make their childhoods as normal as possible, when they see how their child acting cohorts have on average turned out.

Karate Kid was alright and Will wasn't even in that, Pursuit of Happiness was a great movie.

His kids weren't in MIB3 and I don't expect to see any of them in I Robot 2, Hancock 2, or Bad Boys 3.
