Just picked up a brick from Academy and opened up one of the boxes when I got home. Some of the casings have marking all over them...is this normal?

Does anyone else have experience with this ammo?

Could you post a pic?

I've never had any problems with blazer ammo.

I have a few boxes of Blazer 9MM 115GR FMJs and bullets perform 100%. Never noticed if they have markings on the casings. I think Blazer is a reputable brand.

I've never had any trouble with Blazer - it's a little dirty but other than that, no problems.

Blazer is good reliable ammo, the aluminum casings are soft and will scratch easy.

Is this what you bought?

How'd you get a brick ??

In BR Academy, limits people to one box/customer/caliber.

For FMJ ammo, I never give a shite what the cases look like. As long as the rounds go bang and the bullets go where I point the sights, I could not possibly care less.

I've purchased 3 cases of the 124 gr Blazer Brass and I've had zero issues thus far.

BB is probably the world's premium crappy ammo.

I've thought about this before.
What would be considered high quality target ammo?
Say stuff like partisaan and steel case is bottom, what rates at the top?

Maybe 147 or 124 NATO spec ammo?

Pistols aren't insanely accurate anyway. All bullets will hit about the same spot where you point it at close distances.

I rate "high quality" target ammo by how clean the powder is. Besides that, if it fires, I really don't give a damn about the cases or the bullets because it will pretty much go where I point it. Pistols aren't made to be shot to 50 or 100 yards anyway.

This. Fist sized center mass accuracy is all you should expect from a pistol. Unless you are shooting benchrest competition and then you should be working up your own loads.
