If flacco can even muster 9-7 this season I will eat my own crow. I just don't see him being in the brady, manning, rodgers,Brees camp of I can take any group of guys to that elite level

That's like 100 bucks for you or me today,

I like how he mentions himself here. Considering he made a couple million off that Joe Flacco contract.

exactly look what tom brady did to help the pats WIN, flacco is all about himself, what a great leader hope they end up with 5-6 wins this year which is possible looking at their schedule and considering Ray lewis and ed reed are gone and haloti ngata is another year older

so Brady wasn't an elite QB when he signed the largest contract in NFL history years ago?

$120M Quarterbacks don't go in to face the hot houston texans and get their arse handed to them

43-13 was the raping the texans put on the ravens at reliant this past season.

You know what $120M quarterbacks do? Aaron rodgers walked into the undefeated texans house infront of a sunday night sellout and threw 6 TD on the texans defense that was the best in the league at the time and

42-24 was the arse whipping the packers put on the texans at the texans stadium

so what happened when Rodgers went into NY and lost 38-10?

Nice work..I didn't think you could top your "Josh Smith for the HOF" idiocy, but here you are.

I look at it like this:

It's a WIN for Flacco and his agent

It's a FAIL for the Baltimore Ravens

LOL at giving Flacco all that money when at midseason there were serious questions as to whether or not he should even be the QB of the future for that franchise. A great postseason run will make your forget his mediocrity for the over half the season.

Flacco isn't an elite QB.

I agree with you, but what choice did they really have after that run. You can't let him walk

You have to extend qbs early imo

trade him and get another mediocre QB

they've proven they can win a super bowl with a mediocre QB...hell they've had a lot of success teh past 4-5 years with a mediocre QB. trade him, get a bounty from some idiot team, and start that process over

To be fair, Flacco was better than "Mediocre" this past postseason.

and a 16 game sample is a lot bigger than a 4 game sample

no GM would have the balls to do that after the playoff performance he just gave

he was exceptional, but he has yet to have a season that I would even put under the very good category.

Drew Brees threw 19 interceptions last season and still had ten points higher in his QB rating

I agree. The Ravens just made a business decision. Was it a bad one? Probably not, but I don't remember how much guaranteed money Flacco got in the new deal.

I have no idea the point of this thread?

Flacco and the Ravens don't beat Denver then he probably doesn't get that contract. Would the Ravens apologize? The Ravens were not forced to pay him all that money after the season. Flacco isn't an elite QB and I don't really care what anybody says. I would rather see him walk then pay him all that money.

I just thought ut was funny to see the agent publicly gloat like that

Then it delved into a Flacco argument

Let the agent gloat. He did his job.

I didn't mean the thread but the agent I guess

Does he actually think another team would have spent that sort of money to sign Flacco?

ETA: He knows they got away with murder and his job is to maximize his clients earnings.

It's kind of sad really. I have liked the Ravens for so long but now can't wait to watch them fall flat on their face for purging all of their talent to sign a quarterback who will be lucky to lead them to the playoffs again. This will go down as one of the worst contracts in history. Flacco is nowhere near good enough to lead a team like he will now, for the first time in his career, be asked to do.
