This is going to be one of the biggest matches on the history of the city. It may well burn again before it's all over. Get out your lyres.

I am pumped for this match! I loved this quote.

I just hope MB stays healthy.

Oh, and that nobody gets stabbed.

Thanks for the link. That was a nice preview.

The past two days Andreazzoli has preferred a 4-2-3-1 with Bradley paired with De Rossi in midfield and Pjanic out of the lineup. Oddly with Marquinhos at RB in place of Torosidis, who aside from Stekelenberg (thank goodness) and Pjanic is Roma's main injury question mark.

It's not surprising as Bradley has just been massive the past two matches (MOTM against Napoli easily) and Pjanic has been suffering from a nagging leg injury as usual.

Andreazzoli has been quite a tinkerman though so this doesn't mean that lineup is set.

Appreciate it.

I'm not a Serie A expert by any means, but I've followed the league for SBI since the beginning of January. And, of course, most of that attention has been on MB and Roma.

I see Lazio getting picked in this one in a lot of previews, but I don't see it. Roma in extra time for me.

I hope that you're right but I'm worried. This one could go either way.

Roma has more a lot more quality than Lazio, especially in the attack. However, Lazio is such a "cagey veteran" type side that tends to play better as a team.

The first thing is that Roma has to avoid red cards since that's been the key to our last couple of derby losses.

Hope our young players (and hot headed veteran Roman ones) can deal with what may be the most heated environment many will ever see.

Hey wm72, since you follow Serie A and Roma more than I do, can you describe Bradley's play the last two matches? How was he easily MOTM against Napoli? Does he sit in that defensive mid role or does he go up at all? What seems to be his "role" in the 4-2-3-1? I wish I could watch more of his games.

He hasn't been getting forward nearly as much under Adreazzoli who's a LOT more conservative than Zeman. His play against Napoli that was so impressive mainly for one fantastic tackle after another and choosing great passes in the back third to start the attack or maintain possession under high pressure from Napoli.

He's starting today in the same position. Here's the lineup.

A DISP. Goicoechea, Svedkauskas, Piris, Romagnoli, Torosidis, Taddei, Dodò, Florenzi, Pjanic, Perrotta, Tachtsidis, Lucca, Osvaldo. All.: Andreazzoli.

BALLOTTAGGI: Marquinhos-Torosidis, Marquinho-Florenzi, Osvaldo-Destro INDISPONIBILI: Stekelenburg

FORMAZIONE PROBABILE

Wasn't Serie A the league that had the cardboard fans last season?

italy has a weird ticket system and only certain people can buy tickets. it's not like here in 'murka

the vast olympic stadiums also are bad to watch games at, from what i've heard, which creates an incentive for fans to watch on tv

Yeah, fans are a good length away from the field at the Olimpico.
