Why has CPM refused to play Foster and Chinea?

I'm not only speaking of the Arky game tonight...but Stevenson and TM are not your two best hitters...

I get the defense strategy, but the chances one of those two costing you a game compared to the other two winning it at the plate are astronomical.

Chinea and Foster can mash...

Not a rant, trust me.

Curious why you chose Tyler Moore to single out, Laird would've been a better choice

I agree on Foster playing instead of Stevenson.

Chinea and Moore are kinda what and what to me, though.

The Stevenson topic has been beaten to death around here. PM feels like he gives more with his defense if he can hit just a little bit. Most here feel like he isn't providing that little bit. Once Jacoby makes it back into the lineup Katz will go back to first and TM will probably be out of the lineup so that's probably a non issue.

Defense over offense in this park. Stanek shut us down, doesn't mean our offense sucks.

Because it doesn't.

Well considering this is only the ninth loss of the season, that's pretty good odds.

Chinea has a lot of potential, but he needs to mature as a hitter. If he falls behind in a count, he is done.

Foster, I actually agree that he should get a couple of more chances.

Chinea can hit some long balls in BP, no doubt.

This tells me that you haven't watched LSU baseball until tonight and just pulled up a boxscore.

Laird was hitting like .350 heading into SEC play and has been, statistically, one of the worst hitters in conference.

I have to admit I try not to question those type of coaching "decisions"....but I did shake my head when Edward trotted out to pinch hit instead of Foster in the 9th.

I think that showed how much Mainieri cares about winning the tourney....a little, not alot

This puzzles me too. I get Stevenson but Moore is up around 290 i think and he is a tough out. Always puts the ball in play. I do think Foster should be in right at the moment.

nope, been to every game

Obviously, someone has to play CF between Laird and AS...Laird would be my obvious choice even tho he has looked atrocious at times.

Stanek out worked lsu. You just got to tip the cap and move on. They had chances and didn't get the big hits. I liked putting lamarch in at the end of the game. PM wanted to see what he kid could do in a big spot.
