Has any system aged better than the Nintendo 64?

It just has the library that really stands up the best. The Nintendo was great, but I don't think it stands up as well due to how much more complex gaming has gotten since its time. X-Box I think stands up pretty well as well, and its too early to tell with the now last gen consoles.
The only 2 other systems that come close for me are the SNES and the Genesis. Both have so many classic games, but there is one thing where these consoles fall short on compared to the N64: multiplayer. With my generation, these two systems never got close to taking a hold on the same generation a decade or two later. Sure we really love their games, but they tend to be based around a single player or "pass the controller" experience. You pretty much never saw these systems in a college dorm room.
N64 though, no. Almost every great game was based around having as many of your friends over as possible and having some sort of tournament. Smash Bros, Mariokart, Goldeneye, Mario Tennis/Golf/Party, Blitz, Perfect Dark, Star Fox, Wave Race, and many more. All had a great multiplayer, and we remember very fondly screwing over our friends in these games. Not so much with SNES, NES, or Genesis. Anyone in a college dorm who had an N64 was instantly a popular room to come to.
And to think, it even lost its own console war, despite having a vastly superior library to the PSX. Seriously, unless you're from the 90s, who brought a PSX with them to college. No one was really interested in playing PSX old games, and the console aged terribly.
Anyone disagree that its the console that's aged the best?

The Genesis was great, but I don't see many people still playing the Genesis. I think the N64 is still played, particularly Mariokart.

Honestly, I don't see any of the old systems that I have aged badly. I still play every one of them and enjoy finding and playing games I missed as a kid.
ETA: I play PS1 the most.

Relative to its time, maybe, but...

Same. I have a continuous game going on Ocarina of time pretty much always. If I'm bored ill just fire it up and play a little bit.
Starfox is still one I play regularly as well

I still play Ocarina, Earthbound, and Shadows of the Empire. It really was a great system.

i never really stopped playing NES, so that has my vote.
if i had to choose between a snes, genesis, 64, or PS1, id prob go 64.

N64 is the best system ever
Period
SNES has aged well too. I think this current gem will age nicely but the PS 1 &2, and both x boxes have not
Doesn't hurt having the greatest game ever...ocarina

N64 and snes are the two consoles I think of when it comes to all time greats, and proof that a great gaming platform isn't about what the console itself can or can't do, but it's the games that give a console its legacy. Snes and n64 excelled at this.
This is why I find modern day console wars ridiculous. The ps3 and wii will live on in my memory simply because they had the most memorable games. I'll remember the xbox 360 as the "just another FPS" console.
