Let's have a discussion on a heavy issue.

How would you fix the crime rate (murders in particular) in New Orleans?

What do you think needs to be fixed about it?

If you think it's too high, then there are several little knobs to turn, but none are a quick fix, other than changing the number of 911 so nothing gets reported!

In the end, you have to remove the additional incentives to murder that we have here compared to the normal lunacy rate in the populace.

First and foremost- education.

More teen pregnancy centers that give out free condoms and BC.

This does relate directly to the topic. Less crime would make New Orleans more desierable to not only NBA free agents but people in general.

I feel it is the biggest thing holding this great city back.

Good luck with that. That way of life is engrained in them (criminals). That's all they know.

Now, I'll gracefully bow out before I get

Crime doesn't really stop people from coming down here. Crime doesn't directly endanger people who have money and is not themselves apart of that life.

It is high but just as other cities it is not in the good parts, it is at least quite a distance from the good part.

It does hold it back but not really what you're thinking or trying to make the point of. Every city, major or not has a high number of crime and crime-filled areas.

Not quite for me on the first but definitely agree with the second point.

For max guys the money is all the same. Comes down to where you want to live and organization trust. LA, MIA, and NYC will always have an advantage on location. Even the clippers were able to get good players to come in, they just were too cheap to get a real coach

With the way Benson runs the Saints and what we're seeing so far from the Pels, I strongly believe NO will be able to get FAs
