Seeing as how vandy has already lost one and stuff.

If we go through undefeated and sec champs = #1 seed?

I was wondering the same thing and couldn't come to a definitive conclusion.

Possible, but very likely not.

If they go 0-2 and we sweep it could happen

I think we would.

I asked this in another thread:

Is being the number 1 overall seed any bigger advantage to being an 8 seed?

If we beat Vandy head to head, I don't see why not.

If Vandy goes 0-2 and LSU sweeps then Vandy will be 48-9 and LSU will be 52-8. I would be a little surprised if LSU didn't take over the #1 spot.

ETA: as long as they are #1 and #2 and in different brackets (if they both make it to Omaha) then I will be happy.

It's definitely possible.
Guys doing the Vanderbilt game on radio said it could happen.

SECw was considerably better than SECe this year. 6 of the 8 teams left being from the West magnifies this fact.

No. LSU will lock up a 2 seed and Vandy would end up 3 or 4.

Cal St goes 1 in that scenario

I highly doubt Vandy could slide all the way to 4, or even 3

If Vandy gets a trip home tomorrow and LSU wins the tourney, it would be hard pressed to leave Vandy on top.

You couldn't punish LSU either.

So you would have to flip then around and cal st might slide into the 1 spot.

These are long shots still
