I stand corrected. My point was that even a partial lottery type scholarship at Vandy for $4,000 or even $8,000 won't turn a weak baseball program into a contender. Especially with tuition like Vandy's:

Estimated cost of attendance for academic year 2013/2014: Tuition $41,928

Oh I don't disagree with that, which is why I brought them up. Vandy has the education to sell, but they're still asking most kids to take on 20 grand+ a year to play baseball for them. Alabama acting like they're at such a huge disadvantage is dumb. Sure, the lottery scholarship thing may help a little, but if you're a good program, kids will want to play for you regardless. Hell, Stanford has been doing it for decades
