Barometric pressure and speck fishing

To the best of my understanding trout bite best with a falling barometric pressure. High stable barometric pressure and even low stable barometric pressure are not the best...or so I've been told.
Does anyone on the OB have a feel for what range falling from high to low that the trout bite the best?

imo, fish the tidal movment first and foremost. however, there is an upper number that the barometer reaches when the fish just quit no matter what moon/tide activity is happening. i can't remember what the exact number is, but late spring/summer/early fall it isn't much of a concern. i want to say 31 mb of Hg, but i think that there is a decimal point i'm missing.

Yeah, that's what I'm having trouble finding on google is an exact number for the high end where trout shut it down.
Basically, just want to educate myself as much as possible so I can plan my trips accordingly and have more success...mainly for my 10yr old who I hate disappointing because I picked a bad weekend conditions wise to fish the coast.

I know "Deadly Dudley" will not leave the dock when the pressure is 30.30 or above...and that is high for my taste.

What do you consider to be high barometric pressure?

I know the people by our camp kill the reds when hurricanes are coming. If the trout were inside they would probably kill them also.
