I have many but my favorite is: The Adventures of Sebastain Cole. It's a pretty great film, and the music is amazing.

Gabriel Macht as Troy is one of my all time favorite wtf movie characters.

I almost forgot The Door in the Floor. Another great one. Both by Tod Williams.

My favorite is Hud, which is a coming of age story about Lon (played by Brandon De Wilde), masquerading as a Paul Newman vehicle

I'd have to go Stand By Me and Breakfast Club as 2 of the best. I grew up in the 80's so I have plenty to choose from, but these were the most quotable. I remember going to school and everyone was talking about them and saying things from these movies right after they came out.

Would Good Will Hunting count in this genre?

I love Empire of the Sun... but a "coming-of-age" film? I dunno.
