My philosophy is that if it doesn't directly affect me then I don't care. If I do end up with an Xbox this won't affect me since if I am gaming I am online and the longest I have ever been without internet is a few hours.
I can see where it would bother people though. It just doesn't bother me.
The DRM of Sim City wouldn't bother me either but the limited worlds does which is why I haven't bought it yet.
