Eh, I'm not convinced yet. Actually, I think the Sheriff is the big boss of the weed operation.

I'm really surprised she was killed off because the actress who plays her did an interview with the After Buzz TV podcast for Bates Motel and made it sound like she would be sticking around for a while.

Me too... I thought they would explore that phone call she had more (the one that Norman overheard)...I guarantee it's an old student she slept with in another town that is now stalking her.

That was a pretty good season finale. This show has some real suspense, which is kind of rare.

I saw him killing that teacher a mile away, and told my mom last week that I bet the cop is actually on the case, but isn't wanting people to know. I'm TERRIBLE at predicting things to happen, but I nailed those two.

I think it was obvious he would kill her, but not that soon. I thought we had another few episodes next season with her. I also thought he'd tap that arse then freak out and kill her after premature ejaculating or something.

He killed a dude in cold blood ... not sure I would classify that as "good guy." Maybe in comparison to Abernathy and the deputy ... hell, hes an angel.

Is he as close to good as is possible in this jacked up town? Sure. But I agree with whoever said that he was the big boss.

Things only get dealt with by him when they can't be hidden. So he has to handle Abernathy because hes effecting the town (beating people up, etc). Getting obvious that something is happening and needs to be dealt with.

So he steps in and deals with it swiftly. Same thing with Shelby. He couldn't allow the information to get out that he isn't in control so he covers it up.

He can't let the small things appear out of his control else he will have competition on the big things.

Plus did you really believe that Shelby got that toolbelt out of the house without Romero seeing him. That dude is a major type A control freak. He would have been standing at the door checking everything. The toolbelt was Romero letting Shelby try and coerce Norma into helping the side business.

I'm really upset he killed her off. She was nice to look at. Stupid psychotic hormones ruining it for the rest of us.

Romero knew exactly where the cash was hidden as well. He didn't go digging through all of Shelby's stuff. He went right into the garage and straight to where the money was hidden.

I should have qualified what I said better. I had wrote on a thread about the episode after Dylan killed Shelby and someone asked why Romero handled it the way he did. I said exactly what you wrote above. He did it to keep things quiet and keep the FEDs out of his town. And he's a control freak who couldn't look like a fool with the Shelby situation anyway. I too think he's a boss in some racket, likely weed as he knew about Dylan working with Gil.

My "good guy" comment was more to how he told Norma he'd handle it, took the guy out because he wanted to continue doing dirt in his town, and then told Norma "she could go home".

First off, all of these comments were great. I laughed pretty hard. Secondly, if I'm crazy fricking Norma I wait until Romero is far enough down the boardwalk and I'm going in after that fricking money. Finally, I would stuff the shite out of Emma. Pun intended.

I read a review of the finale and they brought up the possibility that Norman didn't kill Ms. Watson and that it was whomever she was arguing with on the phone.

It is a little early for Norman to have his first unprovoked kill. Also her throat was cut and Norman seems to prefer hitting people over the head with something.

I just figured it was obvious he was going to tap it, not kill her.

I'm not an OT'er, I think there are thousands of dimes on this planet. But I thought she was pretty ugly and was ready for her to go. Looked like an alien.

Interesting...I can buy it, especially considering I already thought they would explore that mysterious phone call she had more. It was weird to throw that in there unless it was going to come into play somehow.

I think the killer was a former student that she slept with or at the very least had a Norman-like relationship with (and is who she was talking with on the phone).

This was my thought process. Dumbass Norman. He better try to bang Emma. Shes practically begging this tard.

I'm starting to think that also. Like you said, they wouldn't have just thrown that phone call scene in there for nothing.

The killer probably was angry that Ms. Watson shut him down and got jealous when he saw her and Norman together.

I think Norman did it. His mom telling him she was molested by her brother screwed him up even more. In his mind the teacher/student relationship is a form of molestation and his mother/inner psycho told him to punish the teacher.

Or maybe that's what they want people to think. Already looking forward to next season.

He probably did kill her but I'm hoping we don't jump into Norman killing innocent people so quickly.

The very opening scene turned out to be him killing somebody innocent. Wasn't like his dad was a murderer.

True, but I get what he's saying.... I dont want Norman to go full psycho (no pun intended)criminal just yet ... The build up and progression to him becoming a mass murderer IS the show IMO. If we go straight to "this guy needs to be locked up now" then the show will probably lose some appeal, at least to me.

It's one thing to freak when you're father is beating your mother and somewhat accidentally kill him, it's a completely different thing to murder a totally innocent teacher (or Bradley).

One of the best parts of the show is the way it makes you kind of empathize with Norman....You see where he's coming from, and some of it kind of "makes sense." It would be difficult to empathize with him when he starts knocking off people for no legitimate reason (self defense of himself or his family, etc).
