well that settles it.

yeah, give me an inept Florida offense going up against a Saban led defense with over a month to prepare.

that game would have been a snooze fest and the ratings would have been terrible outside of the south east states.

Ok friend. They played one team last year and got waxed. I'm tired of them getting special treatment for a legacy from 30 years ago.

This new scenario will probably work out best for ND. Not to hate on the irish, but in the recent past, they've been overrated throughout the year, get put into bowl games where they dont belong and get their doors blown off by superior teams. With this new scenario they're more likely to go to a bowl they are qualified for (or maybe overqualified) and may actually get a bowl win. They'll probably get squeezed in somewhere when a conference has more tie-ins than bowl eligible teams.

I took a quick search. ND's only bowl wins this century are hawaii bowl and sun bowls. The powers-that-be love to match them up with other traditional power houses for the nostalgia, but they haven't been up to the challenge in very many of those games. Makes them look even more overrated than they really are -as you can see throughout this thread.

At the end of the regular season Notre Dame was 3-0 against teams in the BCS top 25, Bama was 2-1.

Notre Dame deserved to be in that game. Not sure what the gripe could possibly be. Is a 28 point victory that much different than a 21 point victory?

I never get why so many people hate on them for the NBC deal. Last time I checked this was still America.

IMO the only legit beef is the BCS thing. And that should be against the BCS, not Notre Dame.
