You keep bringing up mike brown... You realize how horrible those cavs teams were without Lebron? The heat teams were decent and the east was weak, not exceptionally hard to make the playoffs.

I bring up Mike to contrast how Spo is an offensive and defensive genius and actually puts the right players on the floor to be successful, whereas Mike is quite frankly an idiot of a coach which is why he never won a ring with LBJ. You can't just assume any coach can win with a superstar.

You must forget how Spo took the pre-LBJ dying Heat to the post season with nothing but DWade.

Is that supposed to be impressive? Half the league makes the playoffs. Wade was a top player in the league, the Heat were expected to make the playoffs.

I'm not, I'm contending that the heat without lbj was better than the cavs without lbj. You act like making the playoffs is some exceptionally hard thing to achieve. Over half the teams in the nba make it a year. So saying spo is a good coach because he took an average heat to team the the playoffs proves nothing.

Heres a good question, if pops was the coach of the heat would they be going for 3 straight?

How often does a team with a top 3 player in the league not make the playoffs?

Why?

did you see waht he did with teh bulls this year?

he's done really well every year he's been a head coach, and this year was icing on the cake

you think pops could have done the same without duncan the entire year? win a playoff series without parker and green on top of that?

Because his teams filled with random d league players usually goes deep in the playoffs.

ETA: OH and he has won 4 titles

Pop is not better than Phil. Better than Phil in X's and O's? Are you serious? Phil? Phil Jackson?

ETA: Not directed at PJ. Damn phone.

Nope. Which is why I agree with everything you said. But if you think that about Thibs, what about Spo?

Ginobili and Duncan are averaging like 12 points a game in the playoffs.
