And look at all those first round exits. I'm not saying he isn't a good coach, but he is below a lot of guys because of his playoff history.

He hasn't had the privilege of coaching one of the greats but instead always playing against them. Magic Johnson, Jordan, LBJ....

Spo is a good coach. But he is no where near as good as Pop. shite look at the spurs roster the past few years, you honestly think Spo would have taken the spurs to the WCF these past two years?

What Spo has been able to do with the superstars he's had is Phil Jacksonesque. Spo has so much potential and could very well obtain Phil status with time.

I'd put him up there with George Karl

George Karl has a good chance of being fired this summer.

He's had talent, but you are correct. Coaches aren't judged by talent disparity, but by post season success - as unfair as that may be.

The Nuggets are insane if they fire Karl.

Unless they have Jerry Sloan ready to come to town.

Pop is a better coach than Phil Jackson, in my opinion.

Xs and Os yes. But managing those ridiculous egos is what made Phil great.

You must forget how Spo took the pre-LBJ dying Heat to the post season with nothing but DWade. But I can see how LBJ shadows Spo's coaching.....just like with Mike Brown...oh wait.

The type of basketbal that he preaches has fundamental flaws that will always lead his teams to first round exits (unless Nuggets are facing the Rockets).
He has failed to develop most of his young players. His rotations throughout the year were awful. Stone/JHam/Fournier were out of his plans, for no serious reason.
Half court offense, a major issue last year, was still non-existent. There were no pick n rolls, no give n go's, no good screens by the bigs, not enough 3 pointers. Karl basically built a team in which Andre Miller, a 38 yo guy, would be the superstar.

You keep bringing up mike brown... You realize how horrible those cavs teams were without Lebron? The heat teams were decent and the east was weak, not exceptionally hard to make the playoffs.

I respect your opinion but if Pop is better than Phil, so is Doc, Spo, Karl, and maybe Thibs, maybe.
