LSU will get the easier 4-seed over Mississippi State so SWAC winner is a lock to go to Baton Rouge.

It actually does within certain parameters. Both Jackson State and PV are within 400 miles of LSU so they are travel friendly for the NCAA. Jackson State will have to bus and stay in a hotel either way so a national seed likely gets the easier foe.

Not necesaarily. Jackson is within the driving distance radius from Baton Rouge so the NCAA wouldn't have to pay for a flight.

They may end up going to Mississippi St. unless Southern Miss can win the C-USA tourney.

To illustrate that, Texas Southern was shipped to Baton Rouge in 2008 despite the fact that both Rice and A&M were hosting regionals.

Yup, Jackson State is going to be sent to LSU. As of now, one of the better northern 4-seeds that have to fly anyway likely ends up at Starkville.
