I think it looks like it. Doesn't seem like a particularly high bar for animation.

Sadly my 3 1/2 year old son was so entertained by it he wanted to climb the stairs while it played 
. I spent 60 bucks to take the family to the 3d version and all i did was threaten him if he got out of his seat again 
but then again it depends on the 3 year old

I liked it, it wasn't the best animated movie but kids love it.
you will hear them imitating " belt" the sloth.
