Looking at stats, I have Raph's career batting average at LSU as .382 (249 hits in 651 at bats), after last night's game. If he stays hot, he will finish in the top 5.
1. .396 Todd Walker
2. .372 Sean Barker
3. .371 Eddy Furniss
4. .367 Russ Johnson
5. .362 Wes Grisham

Stay hot? I think it's safe to say he will finish in the top 5

But people here think he's a "pedestrian" hitter.

he would have to go 0 for 36 to drop out of the top 5

I'm going to be honest here, I feel like I'm pretty knowledgeable on LSU baseball post 1984, but I could have been given 100 guesses and not correctly guessed who was number two. Go ahead Sean Barker.

At least he's hit more than ground ball singles this year. Not that those were bad last year, but 90% of his appeared to have eyes...

I think top five, barring a complete meltdown is assured. Beginning of the season he was only one percentage point behind Walker.

Raph will finish in the top 5......unless he cuts his hair.

Lyn Rollins has "run out of superlatives for the young ball player with the flowing locks and steady swing"

Looks to me if stays hot he'll finish in the top 3 and still finish in the top 5 even if he slumps.
