Flights to KC for Omaha

Considering booking flights from MSY to Kansas City to go to Omaha. There is a 7:15pm flight back to Nola on Sunday. I've never been so I'm not familiar with the timeframe of the games. Would leaving early for the 3 hr or so drive potentially make me miss LSU if they were to play that day?

I enjoyed the drive too back in 2009. Peaceful. There was also a fast food A&W (root beer) place.

basically the sunday games are going to be around 1 pm & 6pm

Yeah, you'll miss the Sunday game if we play then. I did the same thing the first time I went and basically you'll see the Tigers play their opening game. However, believe me when I tell you that after you experience the CWS for the first time you'll want to set aside more time for the next visit. It's addictive.

Is this sarcasm or serious? I'm making the 16 hour drive if they make it to the championship series. Just wondering how bad that drive could be.
