The perfect Big Bad.

He absolutely dominated the screen whenever he was on it. It was as if all the air around him had been sucked out. Played the part perfectly.

On the film as a whole, I'll use the word I used to my brother: satisfying. There were several things that made me go "Huh, really?", but I'm willing to look past them because I enjoyed what the film did deliver on.

Me too.

I could see them doing another film or two in the deep space 5 year expedition. Then bringing him back.

It was good, I agree that Benedict was an excellent choice for the role.

I'm so glad to hear the story is a good one and Cumberbatch excelled in his role.

I'm super pumped now about going see it.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. The gf didn't care for it so much, oh well. She's a massive Cumberbatch/Quinto fan though so I think it might have been a case of overexpectations.

worst "trek" film ever made. Absolutely awful. Been a Star Trek fan since TNG and I refuse to see another movie with this shite show

...yeah...there were a couple of minor things that made me say..hmmm...but the writers deserve a big giant bonus...this was very very well written.

I feel like I must have stumbled into the wrong theater reading what you guys thought

This is your problem right there. You are a TNG fan. TNG fans don't get this version of Star Trek.

TOS was about adventure...TNG not so much.
