It has bee a while since so many big NBA teams have been in the crapper. The Lakers, Celtics,Knicks and even the Bulls are just the beginning.

Is there enough young talent in the NBA to make these teams relevant soon? Seems like a lot of old talent remaining.

Who has the best chance of rebuilding fast?

Bulls are injured and the Knicks are better than they have been in 10 years.

Celts and Lakers had a nice run, both have good front office people so they will bounce back soon (and have young star players).

I think it's that a few teams have all the best talent. I mean last year the Heat/OKC had 6 of what, the top 20 players in the entire league?

Bulls - Will arguably be one of the best teams in the league when rose comes back.

Knicks - Have been pretty good the past few years.

BOS/LAL are old but will reload eventually

And no the talent isn't down you're just not looking hard enough.

Curry at freaking 36?

Young talent that isn't known well that's looked over:

Vucevic
Pelvic
Klay Thompson
Tobias Harris
Larry Sanders
Parsons
Bledsoe
Jeff Green
Splitter
Valacinuas
J Teague
Gortat
Wes Matthews
Kanter
Favors

I could go on

I just grabbed one. No list would be legit. My point is, I think the NBA is down on good young talent right now. Teams like the Lakers and Celtics will struggle to get back to top form.

Teams are not very deep either. Once a player goes down, they struggle significantly.

Look at my edit above

Is it really that bad the Celts and Lakers suck for a bit?

Of course a team will struggle if a guy goes down. That's just the nature of the game.

I don't think this part is new by any means. The NBA has always relied on stars more than any other league because there are only 5 guys on the floor at a time

On your top 50 list, 1-19 had 6 players in the finals last year from 2 teams. In a top 50 list, on a "fair" scale, every team would have at least 1, probably 2 of those players. That's not happening

You're right those teams won't be down for long. Lakers and Celtics both have good FOs and the history.

But I think for the next year or maybe two they'll be down. It happens in any league to a powerhouse.

There's plenty of talented young guys that are overlooked now but will be known soon.
