I recommend enjoying the beach and fish when you get back to Louisiana

Sand Roc Cay, go with the guy that has a Big Green Egg in the cockpit.... no snapper to small for that thing, destroy all evidence before you get back to the dock

Nothing taste quite like that endangered snapper right out of the water and on the grill

add a little seared tuna with some wasabi and soysauce and you've got yourself a feast

Shot in the dark, but does this fella live on Fort Morgan Rd? If so I talked with him for quite a bit on how stupid it is that some idiot in a Washington office decides how long the season lasts. If so the, the green egg was on his balcony. He told me he does charters, but I didn't ask the name. Cool guy.

Fish trap at Zekes Marina... this guy runs a great 6 hour trip for 6 people for $800... He put us on a honeyhole for snapper and filled my freezer.
It was a really fun trip, and worth every penny for us who don't deep sea fish very often.

How did you fill your freezer when you can keep 2-3? Im missing something I suppose.

Ive given up on anything down there. The fishin is poor and the guides are worse. We go by the market now and buy some fresh fish while down there so we have some to grill.

Don't go offshore from AL

The inshore fishing is better than most think. Especially those from LA

Had the best battle of my life with a Jack right off Middle Bay lighthouse in a 12 foot kayak. Never will forget it dragging me around for 30 minutes.

You can keep like 9 mangrove snapper. Still, not near enough to 'fill a freezer'.

It may be ok but I'll never understand people leaving LA to go fishing in places like Orange Beach

Even if I'm already there I'm not gonna go cast all day for some specs and a couple reds when I can fill the boat back home.
