After reading the books, Hermione is the only one that's done right. Harry and Ron are completely wrong except for maybe the first two films.

I would add Hagrid, Snape, both Dumbledores, Neville, Malfoy, Professor McGonagall...
So many characters from that series were cast perfectly.

that's a tough one. Richard Harris' greatness aside, he was really frail looking, and as the books went on, Dumbledore was not a frail man. I think it would have been tough for Harris to pull of some of those scenes.

The worst cast for me was Willem Dafoe as John Clark in "Clear and Present Danger."

Liev Schreiber in "The Sum of All Fears" is closer to how I pictured Clark reading the books.
